Recipe: Basil Beer Bread

When I found this recipe, I was attacted by its simplicity (basically there is only 1 step, that is, to mix everything together... hehe... it suits me well). And, not to forget, I have basil plant at my place and have no idea on when to use it except for creamy cheese spaghetti. But, the thing is, I over-estimated the weight of basil leaves. I thought 10 leaves will make up 30g. At the end, I have to clear all (try to imagine the basil plant is "botak" now) for this bread.

About the taste, it tasted like... beer (but not as strong as you drink as sugar was added). It is bitter for me cox I don't like beer very much. I think next time I got to substitute the beer with milk. But I have to plant some new basil plants first... ;) hehehe...

If you like to try on something different, it is good to experiment on.
Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 375g self-raising flour
  • 30g chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp crushed black pepper
  • 375ml beer

Steps:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  2. Bake in 50 minutes at 160Âșc .

Extra easy, right?

No More Hawker Stalls at Desa Setapak

Yesterday night when I passed by Taman Desa Setapak , I was so surprised that over hundreds of hawker stalls have been demolited by DBKL yesterday morning.

For those who wanted to find Chinese hawker stalls in Taman Desa Setapak(Wangsa Maju LRT), or purposely come to the area for food recommended by "Ho Chiak", would be disappointed now.

So Embarrass to Tell...

that this is my first blog...

"Unbelievable? Believe it."

I always believe that to get started is always difficult. That could be one of the reasons why I did not start my blog long long time ago. I have the plan before (I couldn't remmember since when), but the plan never turn into action due to laziness and worries.

I know what is in your mind. You might think that "hey, you are in IT field and you are telling me that you only start to learn to use this thing now? So...." Embarrass ya... I also feel kinda...
But, after the encouragement of my friend (you know who you are, hehe... thanks!), I decided to create my blog. Perhaps it will never be too late.
